September Monthly Meeting
Our next ConnLUG meeting has been scheduled for Monday, September 23rd at Bricks & Minifigs in Southington, CT. The meeting will begin at 6pm and last until 7:30pm. We are looking to have more of a traditional meeting this time where we will have the following agenda items:

August Meeting
ConnLUG hosted an afternoon build event in preparation for our display pieces for the 2024 Festival of Trees and Traditions at the Wadsworth. We worked on our Viking/Pirate layout, as well as our winter village that is an annual hit with all attendees. We are very much in the construction stages of our designs and are excited to see them completed in the future.
Meriden Library Mosaic Event
ConnLUG continued our summer library tour at the Meriden Public Library on August 14th, this time for an evening of creativity and construction. During the event, library visitors assembled one or more LEGO mosaics following instructions, ideas, or their own creativity. The individual mosaics were combined into a large scale display exhibit for all to enjoy.
Wilton Public Library Event
ConnLUG traveled to the Wilton Public Library for our third library event of the summer. Kids of all ages and their parents attended the library for a relaxing afternoon of mosaic crafting. During the event, library visitors assembled one or more LEGO mosaics following instructions, ideas, or their own creativity. The individual mosaics were combined into a large scale display exhibit for all to enjoy.
July 2024 Monthly Meeting
Join ConnLUG Members and guests for the July 2024 Monthly Meeting. This month, we will be collaborating together on the public display layout and build for the upcoming Festival of Trees and Traditions at the Wadsworth Atheneum. We welcome all builders and contributions to be part of this fun display and event. The meeting will be held in Manchester at 370 Bidwell Street at 1:00 PM.
Southington Public Library Mosaic Event
ConnLUG members brought our Mosaic kits and board to the Southington Public Library for a fun summer afternoon of LEGO play. During the event, library visitors can assemble one or more LEGO mosaics following instructions, ideas, or their own creativity. The individual mosaics will be combined into a large scale display exhibit for all to enjoy.
Manchester Public Library Mosaic Event
ConnLUG kicked off our summer mosaic events by returning to the Manchester Public Library for a morning build session. We had over over 20 kids attend as part of the library’s summer event programming. During the event, library visitors assembled one or more LEGO mosaics following instructions, ideas, or their own creativity. The individual mosaics were combined into a large scale display exhibit for all to enjoy.
Summer BBQ
ConnLUG hosted our annual summer BBQ at our President’s house in Manchester. This annual event is treated as a celebration, where we all get together and hangout before the July 4th holiday, enjoy some nice weather, and take a dip in the pool. Always a crowd favorite, it has been a staple of our community for the past 10 years and we look forward to it every year.
May Monthly Meeting

LEGO® and Latte
Join ConnLUG member volunteers at The Wadsworth Atheneum during their annual Fine Art and Flowers event, Saturday, May 4th, 2024 from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM, as we facilitate a LEGO Make-and-Take activity. Aligned to the museum event, patrons will be able to build and keep LEGO flower builds as they enjoy refreshments among the fine art in the Morgan Great Hall area of the museum. Farmington Libraries Maker Fair 2024
ConnLUG will present an all-ages LEGO Mosaic build event from 1-4 PM on Sunday, March 24th. For the second year, ConnLUG will bring the joy and creativity of building LEGO mosaics to the Farmington Libraries Maker Fair.
